The bangle was so nicely packaged. The bangle is put into a pouch, into a box, a bow is tied on the box, put into a shopper bag and gift tissue paper on top. And finally the SA leaves the cashier to hand over to your your purchase. It's like Christmas all over again :)

Dior

So happy! I finally got my hands on the Dior Rosy Glow Blush. I've been trying to find one for months already. Ever since I saw the promo images for this blush, I just had to have it.
I later found out that this blush will only be sold at Sephoras, a Sephora exclusive product. This was the last of the Rose Garden items my Sephora received and they only got about 10 of these. I called Tuesday and had them hold one of the blushes till Friday. And YAY!
I have one!

I was tagged by my great friend from YouTubeland Claudia, TheClaudiaCouture, to post 11 facts about myself! Its a fun tag and a great to way to learn more about other bloggers.

11 Random Facts About Me:

I love playing the computer game The Sims 3! I've been playing The Sims since 2005, first on my XBOX, then one day I stumbled upon images of the PC version and that's when I became obsessed with the game. My entire PC( years ago before I had a MAC, superior to the PC, duh) <<LOL was dedicated to this game. Anywhoos, I'm still a major fan of the The Sims 3 7 years later and it's installed on my iMAC and Mac Book Pro. I also have the mobile version of the game on my iPhone and iPad. I've collected nearly all The Sims 2 expansion packs and The Sims 3 as well. I love the customizability in this game. I could have my sims wear things straight off the Dior Runway!
Here are one of the thousands of in-game shots I've taken of my heavily modded game.

I download all these custom content things online. I love downloading cars! My sims drive Benz, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Rolls Royce, BMWs, also Camrys LOL!

My favorite sim Minza is an investigator, but now runs her own baby sitting business

Here she is with Zara as little tot! Now Zara is married and has two sons. I love how this game reflects life; from life to death. Being born, having bdays, graduating, going to prom, getting married, having little bundles of joy, joining any career( so many!), traveling to exotic places, etc... I love this game so much!

Aww there is Elle as a child. Now she's a teen and has just attended Prom with her boy friend Claudius.

I'm a health freak! I love eating fresh fruits and veggies. I prefer fresh ripe fruit over any sweet or dessert!
I eat salad every day, either I'm eat steak or simple rice and curry sauce. I love salad!

My first designer item was a Louis Vuitton Pochette, I was 13. I had receievd a hand me down Burberry and a Michael Kors bag but this one topped them all. I was so shocked! I seriously couldn't believe it when I held the box in my hands. I knew how the brown box looked like, as my mom has quiet a few. But never really though that under all the b-day gifts there'd be a LV box under the A&F box.

I'm the oldest and have a younger brother. I try my best to set a good examples for my brother. As I want him to be better than me. I took some of the hardest Advanced Placement (college-level courses) in highschool as a junior, always have been in honors, never took basic classes always was placed in advanced or honors classes, I never fooled around in school I've always been the serious and straight-forward person, always strived hard for the top grade, I always dress nice for school, and of course alway stayed classy. I did so to give him the best examples of how to be like once he's in highschool. Now that he is, I'm so happy to see how he's grown and matured. He's exactly how I wanted him to be! He is following his sister's foot steps! I couldn't be any more happier and proud!

I want to pursue a career in the medical field and follow my parent's foot steps. I know how proud my parents would be if I did so, they mean so much to me and to make them proud that I've graduated and a have those degrees to attain the job would mean the world to me! I'm so grateful and blessed to have such great parents, and I feel a great weight on my shoulders to 'repay' them for all they've done for me. I love my family so much!

My favorite book genre has to be books fiction books based off other cultures from around the world. That isn't exactly a genre but I really enjoy reading books about culture, to me it's fascinating to learn about other people's way of life.

Be in a fine dining French restaurant!

8. What is one electronic you could not live without?

Review: The Beauty Blender

Woohoo! I'm on a roll doing these reviews. Next thing you know I've reviewed every product in my collection!

Now on the actual review of this spectacular little pink sponge!

This sponge itself retails for $20.00 at Sephora and other beauty stores.

This can apply liquid foundations, cream blushers and powder foundations.

What it is: A makeup sponge applicator

What it does: Beautyblender is the first ergonoically designed non-disposable sponge applicator that allows you to flawlessly apply your makeup.

What else you need to know: The Beautyblender is non-latex and hypoallergenic.

Seeing all the hype over this miraculous pink sponge on YouTubeland, blogs and on the tele, I was confused and smh why people would choose a cheap looking sponge over foundation brushes. This sponge looked like a gimmick!

But little did I know this would become one of the best foundation applicator I own!

-First thoughts-

I was skeptical over the effectiveness of using a sponge to apply foundation. I had thought this sponge would absorb and waste my pricey foundations.

-How to use this adorable little sponge-

Make sure your hands are clean, take the sponge run it under warm water gently squeezing the sponge and watch as it magically expands to almost 3x it's original size!

Then squeeze out the excess water and you're ready to apply your foundation.

Applying this foundation is a breeze

Take about 1-2 pumps of your foundation, dab it evenly around your face and neck, take the larger end and simply pounce and roll the sponge around until all the foundation you've applied has blended into the skin.

You can say now goodbye to the streaky messes some foundations brushes leave. This sponge evenly distributes and blends foundations and really does look airbrushed on- that is when done right.

If you use a creamy concealer under the eyes, this sponge blends the product out so well! This what really blew me away! Even the most revered concealer brush by Sephora cannot top this.

Just by lightly dabbing and rolling the sponge under my eyes, the concealer looked like it was airbrushed on.

I use this sponge everyday and it has saved me a load of time now that I don't have to switch between using a foundation brush and concealer brush. Since this sponge has a pointy side and large surface area on other end, this acts as a foundation brush and small concealer brush in one.

-problems with this sponge-

-If you apply the foundation straight to sponge, the sponge will absorb the product in a jiffy, which leads to product lose!

Non Bien! No Bueno!

-It is a bit tricky to clean this sponge. I did not buy the cleanser, I use the Purpose cleanser. This cleaned the sponge very well removing almost every trace of dried foundation in the interior and exterior of the sponge(as you can see in the pictures I took above of the freshly cleansed sponge) Took me about 10 minutes to finally get the sponge clean. I clean my sponge every 3 days ( I know this may sound icky but I haven't broken out!) Some people don't clean theirs until a week has passed.

-If you have major major skin problems, i.e. severe redness, severe scarring. This sponge does give a light to medium coverage so don't expect heavy coverage when using this at first. But it can be achieved if you choose to use more product. But as for me, everyday I tend to use 1-2 pumps of my Chanel Perfection Lumiere. This sponge works hand in hand with thicker foundations. As it spreads and blends the foundation perfectly, leaving no streak marks. Hooray!

-I've noticed this sponge works much better with thicker foundations. When I tried using my Armani LSF, I found that it absorbed the thin formulation quiet quickly and I ended up wasting more product. I would stick to using the fingers or your favorite foundation brush.

This foundation is raved by many MUAs and beauty blogger.

Review: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I was looking for a ~~great~~, no "the best" foundation to replace my Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation.

After not being completely satisfied with Vitalumiere Aqua by Chanel and with little product left, I was officially on the hunt for the next best foundation. I didn't want a foundation that had shaky reviews, the foundation had to have received rewards, revered by many beauty bloggers and makeup artists as their 'Holy Grail' foundation.

This was certainly the foundation I had to have

-Some background information-

- Retails for $59 in the U.S

- Oil Free in a fluid texture

- Made in France, housed in a weighty glass bottle

- Natural finish with a sheer to moderate coverage

- My shade is 07 Tan which matches me perfectly during the summer

-At the Armani counter-

At the Armani counter I was first color matched to the perfect shade #6 but being stubborn I went for a shade darker since my forehead happens to be tanner than my cheeks and neck. I forgot the fact that foundations do oxidize on my skin and even though it was apparent #7 was a good choice, after an hour the foundation did darken slightly. Which works in my favor wonderfully when I get tan during the summer time.

-What I love about this foundation-

I LOVE THE PUMP!!!

-It's very nice and convenient having a pump, this was one of the main reasons I didn't get NARS Sheer Matte. Sheer Matte does not come with a pump, but you must buy it online.

-I like how it's small and can easily be kept in a large makeup bag.

-I love the texture of this foundation, it's like no other! It applies on the skin so well, feels like silk and is so weightless.

-This foundation was for me how I wished Vitalumiere Aqua would look on me. Perfect the skin, weightless, controls the oils, and long-lasting. This is for me the perfect foundation for Summer. I will never buy again Vitalumiere Aqua, it just doesn't work for my skin type, and this even though it's almost twice the price, is way way better and well worth the price.

-The finish of this foundation just amazes me. Right after applying this foundation, I can already see how this enhances my complexion. It sets to a satin-y finish but later on my skin has a natural luminous glow and stays like this through out the day. But for those who do have oily skin, especially if you live in a hot climate, I do recommend powdering this foundation so you don't appear too luminous.

-Also this foundation photographs beautifully.

Have you ever seen photos where you or a friend look so ghastly light with a white cast over your faces? It's because when the flash hits the foundation on your skin, the SPF ingredient bounces back the white light. Luminous Silk does not have SPF in it which makes it a great foundation for events where flash photography will take place. If you do want to wear this out every day it is strongly recommend that you wear SPF first then apply the foundation.

-This foundation is silicone-y, that's why it feels so silky to the touch. But none-the less this foundation is still an exceptional foundation.

-Coverage-

This foundation is a light to medium coverage, but is definitely buildable. For sheer coverage I use about 1- 1/2 pumps with my Sephora #55 Air Brush foundation brush, using the fingers also works well. It covers redness and evens out my complexion. For the days when I'm trying to achieve absolute flawless coverage I apply 2-3 pumps.

-Here I am going to a high school dance-

Over all this is foundation deserves a perfect score of 5/5!

Review: NARS Danmari Blush Palette

DANMARI BLUSH PALETTE

I fell for this product right when I laid my eyes on it. I just knew it had to apart of my makeup collection ASAP.

Here's the packaging, as you can see it can get quiet dirty. I decided not to clean it before photographing it to show you how gross the rubbery surface can get. It attracts powder, glitter and shimmer like no other! But if that doesn't bother you as much as it does for me, then good for you :)

Desire, Casino, Super Orgasm, & Sin

Hungry Heart is a nice highlighter for some occasions but definitely not okay for everyday use in my opinion. It has way too much glitter that, after applying it once to school someone asked me why there was so much glitter on my face!

Orgasm oh boy! The most famous product but NARS. I own three Orgasm blushes and I can say I don't mind it at all. It's one of my favorite blushes all all time. I'm surprised if any of you don't already own this blush. It's simply the best blush for all skin tones!

Casino Great bronzer, but has a bit too much ~~glitter~~ shimmer for my liking. I do enjoy using this from time to time. I still am faithful to my all time favorite bronzer by YSL. I'm looking forward to purchasing the Dior matte bronzer, the Guerlain 4 seasons bronzer and maybe The Balm bronzer.

SUPER Orgasm if they mean super by crazy glitter, sure. I do like this blush, it's slightly lighter than orgasm. But the amount of glitter in this is just insane! To solve this problem I simply tap off the excess and I can see all this glitter floating in the air. Most of the glitter is removed from the brush and then the blush is acceptable for everyday wear. I'm not a vampire from Twilight, therefore my face doesn't have to sparkle like Edward when I'm under the sunlight.

Desire bright matte fuschia pink. What else can I say? You can go haywire with this blush if you're heavy handed but with a light hand the blush gives a bright baby doll glow to cheeks.

Sin Deep pink mauvey shade with silver and pink shimmer, I had high hopes for this blush but the shade did not work well on my skintone. It looked almost purple!

Over all I do love this palette. It's a great deal like the Naked palette. I use mines nearly everyday since it's so handy to have an array of blushes right there.

Review: Yves Saint Laurent Singulier Mascara in Waterproof

After figuring out that in order for my lashes to keep a curl, the mascara must be WATERPROOF!!!

So I was officially on the hunt for the perfect lengthening, curling, volumizing mascara.

I had tried YSL's infamous FAUX CILS but I found that it only added volume, no curl, and no length.

And then I found this mascara.

Before purchasing this I watched RaeView's review of this, read many reviews on Sephora and beauty blogs, and then picked it up the next day. I highly recommend you do this before buying any product as it may be a total waste of your money and time.

I was absolutely floored when I first applied this on, with just one coat my lashes were defined, lengthened (my lashes were touching my brow bone!) and curled! For a mascara to turn my medium length lashes that shoot straight down into 'falsies'.

The packaging is the usual YSL packaging, all gold and pretty.

I also recommend applying a lash primer (DiorShow Lash Plumping Serum; one of the favorites of MissHanaG!) for the extra volume! It's perfect for when you don't feel like applying heavy falsies!

Here's the brush, it's quiet thin and works well in separating the lashes and creating definition and length. Also is great for the bottom lashes

Here's a nice close up of the brush (OMG! My DLSR would not focus on the brush! took me over 10 shots to finally get a nice clear shot of the bristles)

Any way the bristles are made out of plastic and have a unique sort of helix sort of shape. This brushes through every lash just perfectly!

This mascara does not smudge, is long lasting, and has a lovely floral scent (similar to Faux Cils but not nearly as strong)

BUT!
It is such a pain to remove! That's the only con with this mascara.
But I found that when I use this eye makeup remover by Sephora, it came off much easier.

Overall, I do love this mascara. It's currently my favorite mascara to use when I want doll lashes.

This is my second Chanel foundation and am absolutely impressed with it. I was hesitant at first at purchasing this because I thought it was too thick for my liking. But after reading plenty of great reviews of this phenomenal foundation. I was sure this would be the next great foundation to my collection.

This retails in the US for $55.

This foundation replaces the Pro Lumiere Foundation.

What this foundation promises...

- Long wear flawless makeup with SPF10

- It flatters your face with a perfect balance of correction and light: with the use of the patented Chanel Perfect Light Control Complex

- Offers your complexsion incomparable perfection: color and radiance lasts all day long – at the end of the day your makeup is still fresh and intact.

- Perfection has never been this simple: the fluid and light texture glides on seamlessly for adjustable yet lightweight coverage

Now on to my review...

-Buying the product-

At the Chanel counter the SA selected the 52 Beige Rosé for me.

Which was a bit of a shocker because even I know I don't have a pink undertone. So I asked her why has she selected a pink undertone foundation for me if clearly I have a yellow undertone. She then told me how this foundation oxidizes within 15 minutes, the foundation gets darker and will match my skin tone. And she was right! The foundation did in fact get darker but why had she chosen a pink toned foundation? The answer is, if I were to get a shade from the Beige(yellow toned) family, such as 40 Beige

The foundation would look way too yellow for me when it oxidizes and my skin would look rather odd.

At first...

When applied to the skin, the pink undertone gives me a fresh and healthier look. I'm quiet pale at the moment and this foundation instantly brightens my skin, gives me some color, also evens out my complexion, and conceals acne scarring. The coverage is buildable from medium coverage to full. I sometimes use an extra pump to conceal those areas that need extra attention, so it can act as concealer as well!

How I apply the foundation...

I enjoy applying this with my Beauty Blender, it's simply the best way I've found to apply this foundation. I can only use one pump and it can completely cover my entire face

The foundation dries to a velvety powder semi-matte finish and within wearing it for 2 hours my skin has a natural radiance. This foundation does last for me an entire day, it really is quiet long lasting. I've had this foundation for about 2 months and can say it does not transfer and doesn't fade through out the day.

If you're one that has oily skin, like me, I highly recommend powdering this foundation so you don't appear too luminous.

I use this everyday to powder my face in the morning and take it with me to powder down.

Also don't worry! This foundation does not cake! I know how a cake face looks like after getting my Prom makeup done at MAC.

My final thoughts...

I'm a huge fan of this foundation and recommend it for people with regular to oily skin, those who are looking for a foundation with more coverage than Vitalumiere Aqua and also lasts much longer. This foundation gives a very flawless, almost airbrushed look and is absolutely the perfect foundation in my opinion for everyday use.

Chanel, SmashBox, & Godiva?

I initially went to Chanel to pick up their new foundation; Aqua Vitalumiere. And sadly the US has not
gotten this product yet. So the Chanel S.A gave me four samples of this foundation. I've used one already and I
LOVE
LOVE
this foundation. Many have compared it to a tinted moisturizer. My strict mother has not noticed I was wearing foundation because it looks like skin :) So that's a major plus.
I can't wait for this to be released next month with the new Rouge Coco Shines.

Testing out Chanel's polishes I fell in love with this shade and looks lovely under the light.

Purchased my first SmashBox brush.

how old were you when you started wearing makeup?
-I was 12 when I began to secretly use my mom's Lancome Hypnose mascara, La Prairie blushers. Then she found out I was using her cosmetics and hide them. Then I had to secretly buy my own makeup(mainly drugstore) andwhen she found out about my secret stash SHE WOULD THROW THEM AWAY.
what got you into makeup and why do you love it?
-Mainly because as I began to grow up and I saw all these advertisements of girls with longer lashes, plumper pink lips, rosey cheeks, etc and what makeup can do to sort of 'enhance' your natural beauty. I was attracted to makeup from then on. I just love how a little bit of highlighter, blusher, mascara and lip gloss can do to enhance what God gave you.
what was your first high end product?
-My first high end product I was given was a La Prairie blusher which I found out recently is SEVENTY DOLLARS?!
have you found your "my lips but better" lipstick? if so, what is it?
-Sort of but not really. I did find a fabulous darker shade by Chanel. It's a Rouge Coco in 02 Perlé. It's a great Fall color.
if you could only use one colored makeup product, what would it be?
Chanel Rouge Coco in Peregrina! I could use it on my lips and cheeks!
have you found your holy grail foundation or mascara?
-I don't use foundation all the time and have just purchased my first mineral powder foundation. So no I have not found a HG foundation. But as for mascara I've found the perfect HG mascara duo! YSL Faux Cils & Maybelline Lash Stilleto Voluptous. But now that I've found out that Maybelline tests on animals I will no longer use their products. And am on the hunt for something similar to it.
do you prefer black or brown mascara?
-BLACK
do you prefer gel or liquid eyeliner?
-I have not tried gel on a regular basis and I've been using liquid for a while.

Mac, Dior & Chanel Haul Video

Two days ago I finally got to go shopping so of course the first place I visit was my Chanel counter to finally get my hands on the new nail polish from Chanel's new Spring collection.

Black Pearl

I tested all the new lip color shades from this collection and was tempted to buy two of the 4 new shades but the Rouge Allure in Flamboyante was just too bright. So I stuck with my first choice

Peregrina

The rest of the Spring collection I wasn't so interested in so then I checked out what was new at Sephora. First shelf I look at first is YSL, and didn't see much that I liked and really wanted for this season. I looked around a bit and then when finally at the Dior shelf I remembered how much I wanted the

After sitting down and eating lunch, I opened up my new purchases and saw that my new Peregrina lipstick was already smashed! :( So I went back to the counter and the Chanel SA gladly exchanged my lipstick for a new one :)

While walking by the MAC counter I remembered that I really wanted to get the MAC eye brow pencil so I picked up

MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked

I haven't purchased anything from MAC in over a year :D This brow pencil is
great if you like defined and dark brows. I've tried the YSL, Anastasia and a
couple drugstore brow pencils and none can compare to this one. I hope to one
day purchase the Bobbi Brown eye brow pencil and compare it to this one.
